This is commemorating Alexander Dickinson whose name also appears on the parish war memorial at East Cowes Isle of Wight. I have been researching the names of all those connected with East Cowes who perished in WW1 for East Cowes Heritage Centre. He was fourth engineer on SS Rinaldo of the Wilson line. He was taken ill with typhoid and put ashore at Hull where he died in the infirmary Nov 1915 aged 27. He had been married for only six months. I have more information about his family if anyone would like to contact me.
